How many keys can you see in the picture? ................................................... Homonyms and homophones can be taught in pairs and you can easily work out many games and flashcard games to practice them. You can introduce a plenty of flashcard games with synonyms and antonyms as well, but this time you will need to get know two words to play :-) ...........................................................................................................................................................
keyHomonyms are words that are both spelled and pronounced the same, but have different meanings.

Homophones
are words that sound the same but are spelt differently and have a completely different meaning.
Common examples: https://theks3englishblog.wordpress.com/tag/homophones/

Synonyms are words or phrases that mean exactly or nearly the same.

Antonyms are words opposite in meaning to other words.

And a quiz question for the end. Do you know what oronyms are?
Here is a clue: "ice cream" vs. "I scream" :-)

If you ever need materials for the flash games, just google e.g. "synonyms" and then select the Images tab.
